My Conscience

Don't you hate it when your conscience makes you do something even though you'd like not to? I hate it. And right now, I'm having an attack of my conscience. It stinks. My boss had minor toe surgery on Friday, and he was home from work today (which means I didn't have to go in, but I would have had to leave early to go take a final). Tomorrow, I have to 'check-in' with a teacher since there is no final in that class, and I have to do it between 8:45-11:00AM. Now, afterwards, I could come home and just chill the rest of the day. Not to sound selfish, but I think I deserve it. However, that would leave my boss at work, hobbling around a bit (he's not supposed to walk much), and the new assistant. On top of that, my boss' father, who still technically owns the place, might come in. He's almost ninety years old, and you pretty much have to babysit him. With my boss not really being able to walk, his father there, and only one able bodied person there, well, you can do the math. It won't be easy tomorrow. So here I am, debating whether to offer to come in tomorrow or not.

Update: I called my boss and offered. He gladly, delightedly even, said yes. So I'm going in tomorrow, to be there sometime around 11:00AM. On the bright side, I get paid, and he may not stay the whole day.
