Egos
Most everyone has an ego. The question is though, is how big is it. I think mine is average. But there is one person I know who's ego is huge. She thinks she's knows it all, is right about everything, and is the smartest person in the world. But she's none of those. She's about a year and half younger than me, and I'm twenty. I'd like to attribute it to immaturity, but the more she talks, the more bothersome it becomes and the harder a time I have telling myself that she's just immature. She claims to know what the real world is like, but to me, anyone who claims to know what the real world is like really doesn't. If she did know, it would show in her actions and her knowledge, but it doesn't. I tend to think if she does know about the real world, then someone would have knocked her off her tuchus already and shown/told her that she doesn't know all, she's not right about everything, and she's not the smartest person in the world. Personally, I really think she needs to get off her high horse and realize she's not the be-all-end-all of the world. And boy, would I love to give her that lesson.

I think I know who you're talking about and I agree! But don't let it bother you. People (who matter) know right away who's full of it and who's genuine and has real wisdom/ life experience.
Anyway, more power to ya.
Your blog is awesome and I kind of like it even more now.
Thanks!
You're right. People can usually see through someone's BS.
Yuck! People like that make me so mad. I hate know-it-alls, and I hate even more when they convince people that they really are knowledgeable.
But then I remind myself that it's not my issue. I just have to make sure that I don't come across as that type of person - even if I DO know everything. ;)
And hopefully she will grow up soon enough. Sometimes all a person needs is one sharp jolt to bring them back down to earth. And boy, can that be painful.
Sometimes I'd really love to give her that jolt. But I just keep telling myself she's really immature.
What will confronting this individual achieve, other than allowing you to let off steam?
I don't intend on confronting her. I'm just saying that I'd like to put her in her place, but that's not going to happen. Nothing's going to happen.
And you should also be prepared that she may never change. I know someone a few years older than me and the older she gets the more she thinks she knows about the "real world" and she is so out of it, I can't even begin to tell you.
I really am awesome though. I cant help it.
Lol, Cellar. Not you...No need to worry-yet. :P
